Terms of Use

Effective date: October 5, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Raise app (“the App”) provided by Kostiantyn Chukhas (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these Terms prevail to the extent permitted.

1. The service

Raise helps you learn vocabulary by rendering words into Apple Watch faces and practice sessions. Some features are free; others (“Pro”) require a paid subscription or a one-time purchase. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

2. Subscriptions and purchases

Plans. Raise Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (which may include a free trial), and a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before renewal.

Free trial. If a plan includes a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).

Lifetime means for as long as the App is distributed on the App Store and supported by current iOS versions.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the word catalog, reverse-engineer the App, or use it in a way that violates law or Apple's terms.

4. Content

The vocabulary catalog is compiled and translated by us with the help of language models and reviewed on a best-effort basis. Translations may contain errors; the App is a learning aid, not a certified dictionary. Word sets you create or import remain yours; you are responsible for having the right to use any text or photos you add.

5. Apple Watch faces

Watch faces are created using Apple's Photos face. Behaviour depends on watchOS and may change with Apple software updates outside our control. We do our best to keep the feature working but cannot guarantee it on every future watchOS version.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend access if you breach these Terms. Sections 3–6 survive termination.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ukraine unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; the new version applies from the date posted here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
