Raise (“the App”) is developed and operated by Kostiantyn Chukhas, an individual developer based in Ukraine (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App handles and why. The short version: Raise has no accounts, your words and progress stay on your device, and we do not sell or share personal data.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and we do not create user accounts. Your vocabulary, learning progress, watch face designs and photos you choose as wallpapers are stored only on your iPhone (and, when you install a face, on your Apple Watch). They never leave your devices through us.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To validate purchases and understand subscription performance we use Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.). Adapty receives purchase receipts, an anonymous installation identifier, device type, OS version, country and app version. Adapty does not receive your name or contact details. If you use the optional “AI set” feature, the topic you type (for example “job interview in IT”) together with your chosen languages and level is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a word list. Nothing else from your device is sent, and the request is not linked to your identity. We do not use this text for any other purpose. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
The App downloads word packs from our static content server (hosted on GitHub Pages). Like any web request, this exposes your IP address and standard request headers to the hosting provider; we do not log or store them.
Photos — only when you pick a wallpaper; the photo is copied into the App and used to render your watch face. Notifications — optional daily reminders, scheduled locally on your device. Apple Watch — the App sends today's words to the Raise watch app and installs faces through Apple's Watch app; this data stays within your own devices.
The App contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics other than the purchase analytics described above. Apple may share aggregated, anonymised App Store analytics with us if you have opted in on your device.
Raise is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the App deletes it. Purchase records held by Apple are governed by Apple's policies. To ask Adapty to delete the anonymous purchase record associated with your installation, email us and we will forward the request.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK and Ukraine) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we hold no personal data ourselves, most requests can be fulfilled by deleting the App; for anything else, contact us.
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
